Kristine was born in Mettman, Germany and her family immigrated to Canada when she was a child. Her mother is Sami from the Norwegian area of Lapland and her father is Prussian, German and Gypsy. Kristine retains strong connections with the culture of Lapland and the powerful connection to her renowned Sami grandfather. Kristine’s father was a famous artist in Germany participating in the Bauhaus movement before moving to Canada to become a well known architect.
Kristine studied art with her father since early childhood. She was also tutored in the art of palm reading and Tarot reading. After graduating high school, Kristine obtained degrees as Master Herbalist and Commercial Artist. She worked as a professional commercial artist in Toronto for several years before starting her own career as a shamanic teacher.
In the early 1980’s Kristine began her study of Native American shamanism. She was adopted by the well known Canadian elder Dorothy Francis (Ojibwa) and was introduced to the culture and ceremonies of Dorthy’s ancestral lands in Northern Manitoba. At the same time she also studied with Marcel Vogel to learn the art of crystal healing. She is a well known psychic reader and has a large following worldwide
Kristine has been creating art in many different styles since early youth and has an extensive body of work including paintings, ceramics, leather art, vases, drawings as well as computer animations and music videos. Her work has been featured at UC Davis in California. She is currently active creating shamanic art which reflects a fusion of her Sami/Lapland, Germanic and Native American influences.
